Kitchen wanted to write this review to a winner of "Genesis Awards of FFVII-Fandom. He has not sent because in the end Kitchen stessa non ha capito cosa fosse successo. Così la posta qui tanto per sfogarsi.
While I don't doubt your writing prowess, - you have an exceptional mastery with words, - I am very confused as to what just happened to me while reading this fic. Please, do not mind me much, I'm probably the only one that went through something of the sort, therefore completely redundant. I just thought it might be curious to tell you.
I read everything, word by word, until this chapter. I was... uneasy, for some strange reason. I couldn't understand why, but there was something particular with the way you write. Then, frowning, I felt the sudden urge to jump to the last two chapters to see if perhaps I could understand what it was that made me feel so particularly... exasperated.
I did, actually. Understand it, I mean.
I skipped, from chapter 9 to Chapter 43 and then 44, to realize that everything was just so... predictable? Not... precisely. By reading the last two chapters the whole plot was as clear as day, and everything else somehow became redundant. Perhaps that was it why I felt so strange for at the beginning? Because what I was reading was simply... superfluous? No. That's not it. It was interesting, and concise and nice and all but also... lacking. I just... don't get it. I'm startled, confused, and still trying to understand what just happened. I understood the whole plot, including relationships and Lost ones (Raguel and Co. situation and all - excluding a couple of characters, obviously.) plus main interactions and events, but I did so even if I had skipped more than 30 chapters. Does than mean that there were 30 redundant parts? That the plot was stretched beyond its limits to give just reading material without substance? I don't believe so. I'd probably not understood as much as I did had I not read until this point, and I'm sure I lost a lot of stuff in the way.I will still sit down and read the whole story(even if I already know how it finishes)... I just thought it was a strange sensation. I'm pretty bewildered, to tell the truth.
Sorry for making you lose time, author-san. I just thought it might be an interesting thing to say. I still think you're awesome and it's a nice story That Deserves a lot of praise. It's just the first time something of the sort has Happened to me, and I'm still wondering what Happened Exactly.
